'Your justice is not mine', dialogue between Colombo and Davigo magistrates
The magistrates Gherardo Colombo and Piercamillo Davigo present their book at the Ca 'Foscari Wednesday, February 8 at 14.30 (Aula Baratto). They have co-written "Your justice is not mine," dialogue between the two judges in perpetual disagreement.
The meeting will open with greetings from the Rector of Ca 'Foscari Michele Bugliesi and will be moderated by Carmelita Camardi, Professor of Private Law at the Department of Economics of the university. The meeting is organized by Ca 'Foscari University in collaboration with Yes Events.
Gherardo Colombo joined the judiciary in 1974. He was a consultant to the parliamentary commission of inquiry on terrorism and the Mafia. Led or collaborated on surveys which have become famous, including the discovery of the P2 Lodge, the Ambrosoli murder, so-called blacks funds IRI, Clean Hands. Since March 2005 he was a judge at the Court of Cassation. In 2007 he resigned from the judiciary to engage in training sessions in schools, dialogue over the years with thousands of young people on the issues of justice and respect for the rules. He is currently president of the publishing house Garzanti. In 2010 he founded the association On the rules, a reference point for the debate on the Constitution and legality.
Piercamillo Davigo is president of the Supreme Court of Cassation, in service to the Second Criminal Division since 2005. He joined the judiciary in 1978, was assigned to the Court of Vigevano with the judge, then from 1981 to the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Milano with the deputy prosecutor functions. From 1992 he was part of the Clean Hands pool, treating prosecuting offenses of corruption and bribery ascribed to politicians, officials and businessmen. Since April 2016 President of the National Magistrates.
